We had our wedding here on 9th August 2024. The team were amazing and we could not fault anything. We weren't exactly traditional in what we wanted, including beer pong and silent disco but the team just went with it all and brought the vibes all day. Special shout out to Ben who could not have done enough and kept as cool, calm and chilled as we were. Absolutely phenomenal venue and surroundings and I would do it all again in a heart beat.

Called in for a sandwich lunch after a lovely local walk. There was an excellent choice of fillings with generous portions of fries so we both enjoyed our meals and my husband appreciated his pint of locally brewed beer. Walkability: If you like walking, this pub is a great place to stay, being situated in a stunning village, amidst beautiful undulating countryside. No wonder it’s such a popular wedding venue.

Absolutely fantastic! The facilities and location are amazing but by far and away what makes this a fantastic place to stay is the friendly atmosphere and wonderful customer service. The full management team are fantastic and always on hand to help. By far and away one of the best places I have stayed and the food is fantastic

I went only for a dinner to meet my family. The place is beautiful!! I live only 20 minutes far and I am soo happy to find this gem. Food was fantastic! Very creative and delicious. I am foreigner and to be honest, some times I get tired to have the same food over and over again. It was refreshing to see different mixtures. The sticky carrot cake was amazing 👏. Perfect level of sweet, perfect size, and the ginger icecream gives a very different and refreshing touch. Thank you very much. I will definitely go back.

Having stayed for a few nights for work, the stay was excellent. The staff each night made you feel like a local, which is perfect when staying away on your own. Just ask for Tiarny, Ben, Peter and Amber who will look after you. Food is top tier especially the desserts. Food & drinks: Amazing food

We went for dinner on a sunny evening and sat outside on the grass. I really liked the location, looking at the trees or at the cute pub. You have to cross the road to get to the garden, but the road is small and not busy. The goats cheese salad was delicious. The steak pie was horrible, the meat was dry and the pasty was rock hard: avoid the pie!

Excellent pub and room was very good. My only gripe was the constant banging of fire doors which kept me awake through the night. They are on slow closers but the last few inches the doors slam. Maybe put something to cushion the bang.

Wonderful place, extremely helpful & first class service. We'd had a lot of bad luck organising our trip, what else could go wrong? It had almost got to the stage where we thought was it all worth it. Thankfully the way we were treated on arrival meant it was all soon forgotten & we had a great time. Tight schedule meant we couldn't have an evening meal which was our loss looking at the menu & after sampling the breakfast the following morning we won't miss out next time we visit. Superb, thanks for everything.

We had a lovely meal, there were 6 of us and everyone loved their food. In particular, I had the whipped goats cheese starter and the chicken supreme main and both were excellent. The service was excellent and we felt well looked after.

Absolutely fabulous place and location. From the minute we booked in to when we left the staff were fantastic. Rooms very clean and all you needed was provided. Food delicious and well presented. Fantastic atmosphere. Will definitely go back for another stay. I hope they keep doing what they do as it is first class.
